With the incorporation of Tschiertschen-Praden into the city of Chur, the proportion of two-apartment buildings has fallen below 20 percent, meaning that new second homes can once again be built. Three other municipalities are no longer subject to the Second Homes Act (ZWG):
- Monteceneri (TI)
- Göschenen (UR)
- Seehof (BE)
- Tschiertschen-Praden (GR)
In total, no new second homes may be built in 337 municipalities, meaning that the number of municipalities with a proportion of second homes of over 20 percent has risen slightly. The following municipalities are new additions:
- Reichenbach im Kandertal (BE)
- Basse-Allaine (JU)
- Heiligenschwendi (BE)
- Langenbruck (BL)
- Mauraz (VD)
- Rebévelier (BE)
- Scharans (GR)
These municipalities are now subject to the Second Homes Act (ZWG); new second homes may only be built in exceptional cases, for example if they are managed.
