Mountain Wilderness has withdrawn the objections to the connection of the ski areas. Thus, nothing stands in the way of realizing the connection of the Arosa and Lenzerheide ski areas. Graubünden’s largest ski area will be opened December 14th, 2013.

On July 7th, 2012, the new restaurant on the Weisshorngipfel will start operating. The breathtaking panoramic views at 2,653 m altitude with a panoramic view of more than 400 mountain peaks is one of the best viewing platforms in Switzerland. From the July 7th, we can enjoy the view through the 360 º Demoscape windows. Of course we will continue to enjoy the delicacies of the highest bakery and confectionery. Cakes, chocolates, breads and other sweet and salty snacks are prepared fresh daily by Jürg Gadient. We wish Sandra and Jürg Gadient enjoy working on the most beautiful work place Arosa has to offer!

And the summer kicks off with a bang. On Saturday, June 16th, 2012, after a gap of seven years Arosa is again stage of the Tour de Suisse. The eighth and penultimate stage thus totaling 148.2 km from Bischofszell to Chur and then up to Arosa, where the cyclists are expected around 17.30 h at the Obersee of Arosa.

The majority of the population of the municipality Vaz / Obervaz want the ski connection with Arosa. 58% of voters on Sunday, November 27th, 2011 set a yes in the ballot box and approved the needed zoning change. Now the way is clear for the connection between the ski resorts of Arosa and Lenzerheide. In Arosa and Lenzerheide the satisfaction about the positive result is great.
